Lindy Townsend

Lindy Townsend has strong roots in Canada, South Africa and Britain. She spent her youth in Canada until moving to the UK where she received her secondary education. She earned her joint honors BA from the University of London in the fields of History and International Politics. Then she attended the University of Cambridge to attain her Masters in the field of Developmental Psychology, the discipline of studying growth and development throughout an individual's lifespan. Ms. Townsend's thesis focus was written and defended on the subject of children under the age of five. Soon after graduating from Cambridge, Lindy was hired as a Head Mistress in Private Education. When she started her family, she adapted her career to consultancy. Lindy's career has translated across many sectors including: education, private business, government, and non-profit. Ms. Townsend has remained as a consultant for over 15 years.

Ms. Townsend's services include: organizational design, leadership assessment and development, strategic and operational planning, marketing and business development, psychological assessments, personality inventory and human metrics testing, and training. She has assisted entrepreneurial growth businesses' transition to more disciplined management styles and has built and sold her own company. Ms. Townsend has worked with Sirva Worldwide Inc., Hewlett Packard, the Canadian Consulate, American Embassy, Schlumberger, Virgin Records, Capita Education Resourcing (CER), and Refinement Productions (RLE). Lindy has also consulted for the Province of New Brunswick's Secondary Education, Training and Family and Community Services, attorneys and private clients. She has appeared as an expert witness in court for child abuse cases in Maine and New Brunswick.

For the majority of her career, Ms. Townsend has worked in Europe. Even after returning to live in Canada, her consultancy contracts have taken her across Canada and internationally to Morocco, the Middle East, Spain and the United States. Her current studies in International Security and Intelligence are leading her towards her Ph.D., with a main focus on human rights and international law. Lindy volunteers her services to devalue and change archaic practices that obstruct human rights, and she continues to actively advocate for amendments to laws to instigate change and improve the services for: autism, illegal immigration practices, human trafficking and child abuse.
